PoS Terminal

In order to make direct sale, use the PoS terminal. The PoS terminals created from back office will be listed under this section. Login to one of the terminal.

The terminal will logout if someone else logs in.

The terminal uses heartbeat to let the server know that it is still logged in. If the heartbeat fails to reach the server, the terminal will logout.

Terminal layout

The terminal is divided into two main sections

Left section: Lists products and controls
Right section: Shows sale and customer details and sale actions

Left section

Search bar: At the very top you will find the search bar, use this to search and add the product to sale. You can scan the barcode of the product here.
Mode control: Quick menu for operating the terminal, either you want to start a new sale, view an old sale return etc. use the buttons on the menu or F-key shortcuts

F7	Settle sale in case of delivery sale made through PoS
F8	View and process e-commerce orders
F12	Open the calculator

Product List: Lists all your products in paginated format. If you have grouped the products the groups will appear in the bottom and the products in the grid format above.

Right section

Customer addition: Use the form to search and add or add a new customer
Sale list: Current sale items list
Sale action: Action area for completing an ongoing task.

Completing a sale

Once all the items have been scanned and its time to finish the sale, a dialog appears that asks you to add the payments. For scenarios when a customer pays in multiple form e.g. out of 100

pays 50 from card x
pays 20 from card y
pays 30 in cash

You add each entry to the list and then submit. This will make it easy for your finance to tally your reports easily later.
